The Problem
EPIDEMIC STATUS!
Bullying is a major epidemic in our society. All forms of bullying, such as verbal, non-verbal emotional, physical, and cyber-bullying happen every day in the United States and can cause serious lasting harm to victims such as, but not limited to severe depression, violence, and/or suicide. According to statistics, 19,000 bullied children attempt to commit suicide over the course of one year; on a monthly average 282,000 students are physically attacked by a bully each month; and on a daily average 160,000 children miss school because they fear being bullied. In a recent survey, it showed that over 100,000 children carried guns to school as a result of being bullied.

Our Solution
Sean Kelley-
“Stomp the Bullying” is a concept that 25 year and international martial arts expert Sean P. Kelley created to tackle the bullying epidemic. Children commit suicide or turn to violence such as school shootings because of on-going problems with bullying. If these kids had a place to turn for guidance to become educated through proper awareness a place to build their self-esteem, self-confidence, learn how to be less of a target and find their voice to help Stomp the Bullying we would see real change take place and that is where we come in!

With this program, we look to create safe places for kids. We are on a mission to make Wicomico County a better place to live and a better place to grow up.
